Tena Festini works as a project coordinator in Institute for Maritime Heritage ARS NAUTICA, based in Tkon on the island of Pašman in Croatia. Her current obligations include management of archaeological projects, multimidia and promotion. She graduated from the Department of Archaeology at the University of Zadar in 2017. She attended the Maritime Archaeology Programme at the University of Southern Denmark as an Erasmus exchange student. Through the years, she gained experience in fieldwork and documentation on a wide range of sites, spanning from Prehistory to the Early Modern Period, as well as in working on the inventory and the preliminary conservation of finds. She worked as a visiting scholar at CHAM in Lisbon, Portugal, as part of the Erasmus+ Traineeship programme. She holds NAUI Advanced Scuba Diver and NAUI Nitrox Diver certificates. Her current study involves the use of lead as a material for the sheathing of the ships' hulls, with the special emphasis on the 16th century.
