Katarina Batur graduated from the Department of Archaeology of the University of Zadar in 2015. The same year she enrolled in the PhD programme Archaeology of the Eastern Adriatic, at the same University. She is actively involved in a number of maritime and nautical archaeology projects in Croatia, working also on the inventory and preliminary conservation of the underwater archaeological finds.

The aim of the visit was to improve level of knowledge in conservation of material from underwater sites and to develop skills in drafting ship lines and ship structures. Professional training was supported by the Women Divers Hall of Fame Cecelia Connely Meomorial Graduate Scholarship in Underwater Archaeology.
