The information on the recently discovered shipwreck site in the Šibenik area attracted the attention of the archaeologists and public media. The cargo of the 4/3 c. BC wine amphorae of the so called Corith B type, probably originating from the workshop of ancient Faros (Stari Grad on the island of Hvar) is the first well-preserved cargo from that period in the Croatian undersea. The first official survey was organized in the framework of the AdriaS Project, in order to identify the exact position and collect the data needed for the legal protection of the site.
