u nekoliko navrata spomenuto, živo prisutno
narodno sjećanje, pjesništvo i glazbeno izraža-
vanje, jednako kao i preživjelo tradicionalno
gospodarstvo pojave su koje pridonose smislu
prezentiranja materijalne baštine te ju čine
daleko shvatljivijom i bližom suvremenom čo-
vjeku. One time ujedno i same bivaju prezen-
tirane na organiziran, smislen i cjelovit način,
a novaljsku prošlost dovode do naših dana.
Predloženi se pristup može sagledati u tri
kulturno-povijesne i prirodne cjeline koje se
koncentrično šire od cjeline samog gradskog
središta do cjeline čitavog prostora koje admi-
nistrativno pokriva Grad Novalja.
Sagledavanje potencijala nužan je preduvjet
kvalitetnog projekta kako bi se na zadovoljava-
jući način predložila njegova buduća struktu-
ra. Prednost je predloženog pristupa, među-
tim, mogućnost neprekidnog dodavanja novih
lokacija koje obogaćuju turističku ponudu te
ju neprekidno osvježuju novim poticajima.
Osim toga, tako zamišljen projekt može se
realizirati u fazama tijekom dužeg vremenskog
perioda, pri čemu se započinje prezentacijom
najatraktivnijih ili najbolje očuvanih lokacija.
One na odgovarajućoj razini nose priču koja s
vremenom biva obogaćena novim sadržajima.
U predloženom modelu Gradski muzej pred-
stavlja mjesto na kojemu se koncentriraju
spoznaje o kulturno-povijesnoj i prirodnoj
baštini Novalje te se posjetitelje upućuje na
mogućnosti njenoga daljnjeg otkrivanja. On
također postaje i polazišna točka odakle kre-
će ne samo priča o antičkom vodovodu koji
predstavlja okosnicu cjelokupne ideje, već i
niz aktivnosti koje posjetitelje odvode prema
ostalim lokacijama u Novalji, prema Novalj-
skom polju, a potom i u ostalim navedenim
smjerovima. Vrijedi spomenuti kako se, zahva-
ljujući postojećim potencijalima, u turističku
ponudu uključuju i podmorska nalazišta koja
pridonose raznolikosti turističke ponude te za-
dovoljavaju potrebe sve većeg broja posjetitelja
zainteresiranih za sportsko ili tehničko ronje-
nje. Ona putem muzejske prezentacije uz po-
moć odabranih predmeta, crteža, fotografija i
video zapisa postaju dostupna svima, a odlazak
na samo mjesto nalaza nudi se kao dopunska,
uzbudljiva i zanimljiva aktivnost.
As we already emphasized, the living folk memory,
poetry and music, together with the surviving tra-
ditional economy, are features that add meaning
to the presentation of material heritage and make
it more apprehensible and nearer to the modern
man. Thus they are also presented in an organized,
meaningful and complex way, while bringing the
history of Novalja into our own time.
This proposed approach could bee observed
through three culture-historical and natural com-
plexes, which emanate in concentric circles from
the city center itself to the completeness of the
entire territory administrated by the City of No-
valja.
Looking into potentialities is a necessary prerequi-
site for a superior project, in order that its future
structure would be put forward in a satisfactory
manner. The advantage of the proposed approach
lies in, on the other hand, the possibility of a
ceaseless addition of new sites that would enrich
the tourist offer and constantly refresh it with new
impulses. Besides, a project thus deliberated could
be realized in phases during longer time-periods,
starting with a presentation of the most attractive
or best-preserved locations. They would carry the
story, in time enriched with new contents, on a
satisfactory level.
In the proposed model the City museum would
represent a place in which the knowledge of cul-
ture-historical and natural heritage of Novalja
would concentrate, and point to the visitors the
possibilities for its further discovering. It would
also become a starting-point from where not only
the story of the Roman aqueduct, representing the
pivot of the whole idea, initiates, but also a number
of facilities leading the visitors towards other loca-
tions in Novalja, Novaljsko polje, and, later, to-
wards other, already mentioned destinations. It
is worth mentioning how, thanks to the present
potentials, the underwater sites are included in
the tourist offer, which adds to the diversity of the
activities being offered, and satisfies the need of a
growing number of visitors interested in sport or
technical diving. It becomes accessible to anybody,
through the museum presentation, with a help of
selected drawings, objects, photographs and films,
while a visit to the very site is offered as a comple-
mentary, exciting and interesting activity.
