The ship Caska 2 is excellently preserved and will be systematically researched in order to reconstruct the practical sequence of the classical Roman shipbuilding. Although found in the same bay, the two ships Caska 1 and Caska 2 belong to two distinct coastal structures and to two distinct shipbuilding traditions. They were both sunk on purpose by filling them with stones, which preserved them up to the present day. The excavation of the ship Caska 2 is in progress, and is realized through the already mentioned ongoing international interdisciplinary project Cissa Antiqua. The excavation in progress allows the researchers to test the methodologies developed through the AdriaS Project activities.
