Luka Boršić rođen je 10. siječnja 1972. u Zagrebu.  Na klasičnoj gimnaziji (tadašnji Obrazovni centar za jezike, smjer klasični jezici) u Zagrebu maturirao je 1990. godine. Na Sveučilištu u Zagrebu upisuje prvo studij elektrotehnike (1990-1992) i studij klasične filologije (1991). Diplomirao je klasičnu filologiju s najvišim ocjenama 2000. godine. U međuvremenu upisuje studij filozofije na Međunarodnoj akademiji za filozofiju u Kneževini Liechtenstein (Internationale Akademie für Philosophie im Fürstentum Liechtenstein): od 1994-1997 pohađa dodiplomski studij, 1997-1999 magistarski studij (magistrirao je magna cum laude s naslovom radnje: Plato on recollection and writing), a doktorski studij upisuje na istom sveučilištu od 1999-2001 te promovira summa cum laude s doktorskim radom Scio me nihil scire – Paradoxon Socraticum pod mentorskim vodstvom Prof. Dr. G. Realea s Università Cattolica di Sacro Cuore, Milano (s najvišim prosječnim ocjenama tijekom magistarskog i doktorskog studija). Godine 2001. vraća se u Hrvatsku te se 2002. godine zapošljava kao znanstveni novak na Institutu za filozofiju u Zagrebu. Nostrificira svoj magistarski rad s Internationale Akademie für Philosophie kao potpuno istovjetan magistarskom radu na Sveučilištu u Zagrebu. Na Hrvatskim studijima upisuje 2004. g. doktorski studij iz područja filozofije pod mentorskim vodstvom prof. dr. sc. Mihaele Girardi-Karšulin. Doktorsku disertaciju pod naslovom Renesansne peripatetičke rasprave i novi pojam znanosti uspješno brani 2010. godine na Hrvatskim studijima Sveučilišta u Zagrebu.
