Dr. Džino je diplomirao na temu ratnih brodova s istočnojadranske obale, magistrirao na rimskim republikanskim zakonima a doktorirao 2006 s disertacijom na temu rimskog osvajanja Dalmacije i Panonije", (objavljena kao monografija strane Cambridge University Press) - na Adelaidskom sveučilištu, gdje je bio imenovan vanjskim suradnikom u odjelu Klasičnih studija 2006.Tamo ostaje do dobijanja postdoktorandskog projekta na Sveučilištu Macquarie u Sydney 2010. U srpnju 2014 postavljen je za izvanrednog predavača na Katedri za staru povijest, Sveučilišta Macquarie.
